Online Banking Multi-Factor Authentication
Protecting your personal financial information is our top priority at City State Bank. As part of building on our security efforts, the Bank offers an extra layer of protection for our Online Banking Customers called Multi-Factor Authentication.
Multi-Factor Authentication works in two ways. Every time you log in to Online Banking, City State Bank identifies you - and with our new Personal Identification Image feature, it also allows you to identify that you are on City State Bank's Online Banking website.
Letting us know it's really you...Verification Questions and Answers
-
City State Bank Online Banking customers will be asked to choose their 3 verification questions at Login. The verification questions will ask about things that you would easily know about yourself - but that no one else would necessarily know.
-
The Online Banking system will monitor how you access and use City State Bank Online Banking. Using this information, the system identifies what qualifies as uncharacteristic or unusual behavior. If such account activity occurs, you will be asked to answer your verification questions.
-
If you answer the verification questions correctly, you will be directed to the page you requested and continue your Online Banking session. For security purposes, after 3 failed attempts, users will be prevented from completing their current Online Banking activities and will be blocked from logging in.
-
Authorized users who have been locked out should contact their local City State Bank branch office.
Letting you know it's really us....Personal Identification Image
-
You will be asked to choose your Personal Identification Image when you log in to Online Banking.
-
When attempting to log in to your Online Banking account in the future, seeing the personal image you selected will let you know you are accessing the right website.
-
If you ever attempt to sign on to the system and do not see the personal image you selected, do not continue to sign on. Please call City State Bank immediately at 1-800-373-6621.
As always, there is no fee for Multi-Factor Authentication and City State Bank's Online Banking service is still free.
We
also remind you to safeguard your Online Banking Teller ID and PIN and be alert for fraudulent e-mails or phone calls asking for personal information.![]()
